This online child care training is designed to guide teachers and child care providers in implementing science curricular activities and learning into the preschool program. You do not have to have a degree in biology, science, or own a chemistry set to help young children in your early childhood program learn about science. The rudiments of a science curriculum start with the child and the world around them. This online workshop lesson will guide you in helping children learn about science as they explore and discover and have fun! Note: Part of the clock hours of this class requires interaction with children to reinforce class objectives.

- Identify main science skills and concepts
- Give examples of both planned and incidental science learning experiences
- List appropriate materials for a science discovery classroom area
- Conduct age-appropriate science experiments with children
