This online child care training is designed for both novice and experienced child care providers who care for preschool age children. Participants will learn to use books and literature with young children. Participants will also be actively involved in applying skills in choosing books and reading to young children. Note: Part of the clock hours of this class requires interaction with children to reinforce class objectives.

- Identify the value of sharing literature and stories with young children
- Choose appropriate books for young children
- List ways to engage young listeners at story time
