Set aside a special Pajama Day! Have the kids all come to school with their pajamas on and with their blankies, pillows and teddy bears! Play lullabies. Don't forget to serve milk and cookies for snack time. Maybe ask parents to record a "bedtime" story. Play during naptime.

Bedtime Arts and Crafts

Pillowcase Drawing - Give each child a white pillowcase and permanent markers or fabric markers. Allow children to decorate pillowcases as they wish.

Toothbrush painting - Dip toothbrushes in paint and create toothbrush paintings.

Night Sky - Dip star-shaped cookie cutters in yellow and white paint and stamp on blue and black construction paper.

Bedtime Math and Science

Bedtime Graph - Ask each child what time they go to sleep every night and graph it on a chart.

Bedtime Routine Sequencing - Talk about what children do each night before they go to bed. Have them put sequence cards in order of their routine. You can use our Bed Time Routine Sequence template.

Bedtime Snacks

"Bears in the bed" snack - Spread one slice of bread with peanut butter. "Lay" bear shaped graham cookies across the top of the slice of bread. Trim another slice of bread horizontally for "covers". "Tuck" the bears into bed by covering them up to their chins with the trimmed, plain slice of bread. And now you have "Bears in the bed"!
